Leading Asian Hospitals Use Vuzix (NASDAQ:VUZI) Smart Glasses to Enable Next Generation Surgical Instruction
Leading hospitals in Asia, including Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University, are utilizing Vuzix M400 smart glasses to enhance live surgical broadcasts. These smart glasses, paired with premium medical streaming platforms, offer a 4K high-definition, first-person perspective, overcoming traditional live broadcast challenges. At Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Vuzix smart glasses enabled a successful live broadcast of knee joint surgery, showcasing advanced techniques and improving educational outcomes. Similarly, at the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University, a live remote cardiac surgery was conducted, demonstrating improved teaching, reduced costs, and enhanced medical collaboration. The VIS platform, operational in over 200 hospitals in China, has performed over 4000 surgeries using Vuzix technology, highlighting its integration with hospital systems and patient data.
