corbotron Golden Government _1 : it's so they can give money direct to company for shares, they of course get them at a premium to current market price and unload as soon as possible to get as much of the difference between market price and their brokered price. most will sell off the amount of the placement in dollar value and keep the free shares to cash in when it rises to the point it covers the warrants. then they excise the warrants and crush the difference between those and the market price keeping the free shares again. all in all the investing company will make millions of free dollars from retail investors who paid more for the same equity only to be undercut by big firms making private deals
