📈 Nikkei 225 rebounds from Monday’s losses
• Following Monday’s 4.8% decline, the Nikkei 225 Index (NIKKEI) rebounded this morning to trade 1.5% higher at 38,476 at the time of writing.
• The volatile moves in the index come as investors digest the news of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party election last Friday and the latest update of Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida resigning with his Cabinet this morning (ABC News, 1 Oct).
• At the time of writing, the SGX Nikkei225 December futures are trading 1.7% higher than yesterday afternoon’s close. With the moves, our call warrants NIKKEI-CH and NIKKEI-CI gained 9.8% and 5.7% in their bid prices, respectively. Meanwhile our put warrants NIKKEI-HE and NIKKEI-HF fell 7.5% and 6.1% in their bid prices, respectively.
