$NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ NIO has built a 9-vertical and 9-horizontal high-speed battery swap network: Car owners can swap batteries directly between major cities
According to Fast Technology on December 18, NIO officially announced that the NIO battery swap station was launched at the Hongze Lake Service Area of G25 Changshen(12.470, -0.11, -0.87%) , and the battery swap network of the G25 Changshen Expressway Tianjin-Guangdong section was officially opened.
With the launch of the NIO battery swap station at the Hongze Lake Service Area on the G25 Changshen Expressway, NIO's national 9 vertical and 9 horizontal highway battery swap network has been officially completed.
At this point, NIO has completed the construction of a high-speed battery swap network between major cities across the country, becoming the first and only car company to complete the layout of charging facilities on national highway trunk lines.
The number of NIO highway battery swap stations has reached 913, with an average of one NIO battery swap station for every 200 kilometers of highway across the country. The high-speed battery swap network connects more than 700 cities, allowing users to directly swap batteries on highways between major cities in the country.
If we take provinces as units, NIO has basically built a high-speed battery swap network in 19 provincial administrative regions across the country. Driving a NIO on the highway is as convenient as driving a gasoline car.
In August of this year, NIO also announced a battery swap plan for every county.
NIO plans to achieve battery swapping in all 27 provincial-level administrative regions by December 31, 2025, covering more than 2,300 county-level administrative regions.
Starting from 2026, NIO will tackle the remaining provincial administrative regions, covering more than 2,800 county-level administrative regions across the country.
