The bookmaker suppresses the price! $NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ There is good news on the market, both Xiaopeng and NIO. Why is the price drop so bad? Obviously, you have to press the price, then wait for the good news to announce a wave of increases. Short-term bookmakers flee when they hear the news, and they become receivers... then go short and fall a bit, and the taker blindly sells... the bookmakers pick up what you just dropped and wait for the next wave... so back and forth, that is, it just keeps rising and falling, and retail investors have no way... and the mood swings up and down every time... By heart, aren't NIO and Xiaopeng good companies? None of the NIO car owners I saw said that NIO products were bad, the service was not good, and the people close to Amway would consciously say everything when they used it; Xiaopeng also saw a sharp rise in sales in the second quarter, and the investment in the low-altitude economy market had not yet been released, and Xiaopeng invested the most in terms of technology; I think they are a very valuable company, so you can filter out that noise... see where the value lies. You might as well buy some when it falls, depending on your ability, buy a certain amount and put it there for a while... you can just think of it as if it were gone! Maybe in a few years you'll thank you for this investment...

Article #1: Alan Ai commented that ONVO (Chinese name is Ledao) exceed expectation but didn't give any figure. See screenshot - Chinese text translated to English.
Article #2: Insurance registration showed that Nio sold only 4,400 units between 13 to 19 May. See screenshot.
Article #3: ONVO was officially launched on 15 May but didn't release any info on pre-order.
From the 3 articles, we can estimate that ONVO sales is much less than 4,400 units - quite a low number. Nio used to announce pre-order sales for new models but had stopped doing so after May 2023. Pre-order data is inaccurate as such order can be cancelled with full deposit refundable - a common marketing tactic used to boast the new EV model is very popular.

6 days with 4400 cars registered, one month how many cars ? Close to 20,000. Not a good result? I do think so. And ONVO released, pre-sales far more than expected … that’s multiple resources can confirm that, just as a mature company, manage the expectations are necessary so they decided not to disclose the pre-sales figures as what they used to do !
