No sale price, possible wipe out
$Big Lots (BIG.US)$ Nexus provides financing covers all loans - cash in hand - tax benefit if writing off everything. Haven’t seen price, but don’t try to buy if trading resumes. It is possible a bid to wipe out equity.
Typically such play includes senior equity investment + loans. Anyway senior than us. Nexus might charge a interest of 10% a year higher than market. Which is enough to wipe out equity unless some big player jumps in quickly. Possible an intentional robbery between capital and management.
Anyway coming two quarters are best season for retailers. Better act right now before too late and suddenly die. Hard to see. If buyer are smart, they could offer a few dollars to equity owners as token gift to avoid future troubles. Otherwise class action is likely to happen and will make company impossible to be listed and buyer will be bagholder…
Lost 1k in WISH because I know they are green. Lost 20k here… Should have sold at 7… Learned a good lesson. I guess everyone learns: Do not trust losers could correct themselves. They do not evolve. Anyway, I need to review my investment principals.
