Not about their Innovation but about Geopolitics
$Intel (INTC.US)$ let me explain why I have taken a position in Intel. It’s not because they are the same innovative company of their past but because they are vying to be the foundry of America. At some point, Geopolitics will become so unstable, there will be national mandates to shift logic manufacturing away from Taiwan. Intel will be the go-to destination for North American manufacturing. At this point, Intel will then become like $Boeing (BA.US)$. A national giant too big to fail for non-commercial reasons.

Lemsicals OP SkyDestinyz : AMD doesn’t do Foundry. It only designs chips. It spun its foundry business off in 2009. Nvidia is also chip design only (we call AMD and Nvidia “Fabless” companies: they don’t make their own chips).
Own Nvda Aiproducts : Today's chips are mainly from TSMC. As long as something big happens in the Taiwan Strait, production capacity will definitely be hit, and Intel is likely to benefit from this. Even if nothing major happens, the world is in the midst of slow changes. This kind of company, the lifeblood of the country, is not just plain wrong; Intel's current situation is like Apple before Jobs took over.
