Novo Nordisk: new factory project for Pharmatech Cercle Finance (16/08/2024) - Novo Nordisk Pharmatech, a subsidiary of Novo Nordisk, plans to invest approximately 1.5 billion Danish kroner (approximately 200 million euros) in the construction of a new factory south of Copenhagen, where the company plans to producenpharmaceutical raw materials.
The Koge site, which will cover an area of ​​8,000 m2, will house production and storage facilities, as well as offices and research laboratories. The opening is scheduled for 2027.
In a press release, Novo Nordisk Pharmatech specifies that the unit will focus on the supply of components intended for the production of medicines for the treatment of 'critical' chronic diseases. The investment, which should enable the creation of 50 new jobs, is the largest that Novo Nordisk Pharmatech has ever made since its founding 75 years ago.
Novo Nordisk Pharmatech, a subsidiary of the Danish diabetes treatment giant Novo Nordisk, was founded in 1949 and specialized mainly in the production of insulin.
