NVDA 23 May 2024: Strong Forecast & Stock Split
To be honest, as an investor with normal income level in Malaysia, it is hard for me to even buy a unit of NVDA, which can worth USD1000 per unit, and about RM5000. thanks to US fractional share trading, I am able to buy less than 1 unit.
But now with stock split announcement 10 for 1, USD1000 per unit can become USD100 per unit, which is friendlier for investors like me!
Yes, NVDA share prices top USD1000 on overnight trading, after the company reported upbeat guidance for the current quarter as first-quarter results topped Wall Street estimates, driven by robust AI-led demand in its data center business and the chipmaker also announced a ten-for-one forward stock split.
For the three months ended Apr. 28, Nvidia reported adjusted earnings of USD6.12 per share on revenue of USD26.04 billion, up from USD1.09 a share on revenue of USD7.19B a year earlier. That topped analyst estimates for earnings of USD5.58 a share on revenue of USD24.53B.
The beat was driven by a 427% jump in data center revenue to USD22.56B in Q1 from a year earlier, beating analyst estimates of USD21.32B, underpinned by AI-led demand for hardware to train various AI applications including large learning models.
As a result, NVDA hit another historical high and trend remains bullish, so there will be no charting analysis here, more to want to ask your opinion if the momentum can get stronger after the stock split, which it will become cheaper and potentially attract more investors?
