NVIDIA Announces China Special Edition RTX 4090D
NVIDIA has officially released a special edition graphics card for the Chinese market, the GeForce RTX 4090D, in order to comply with the latest U.S. export control regulations, and to solve the problem of the original high-end gaming graphics card RTX 4090 not being able to be sold in China.
It is reported that the letter "D" means Dragon, which stands for the Year of the Dragon in the 2024 lunar calendar. The graphics card will be officially launched in January next year.
In order to ensure that the TPP (Total Processing Performance) requirements of the United States are covered and to comply with the latest export rules, the number of CUDA cores on the RTX 4090D has been reduced from 16,384 to 14,592 compared to the original RTX 4090.
This means that in terms of parallel computing power, the RTX 4090D is slightly lower than the original. However, there is an increase in core frequency, with the base frequency raised from 2235MHz to 2280MHz, while the acceleration frequency remains unchanged at 2520MHz.
In terms of memory, the RTX 4090D is equipped with the same 24GB of GDDR6X memory as the original, providing gamers with ample memory capacity to cope with a variety of high-load games and application scenarios.
In addition, the total power consumption of the RTX 4090D has been reduced, from 450W in the original version to 425W. This improvement helps to lower the heat and power consumption of the graphics card, improving overall stability and efficiency.
It is worth mentioning that the RTX 4090D, as a special edition graphics card for the Chinese market, is still priced at 12,999 RMB. $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ $Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US)$ $Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3x Shares ETF (SOXL.US)$
