I've never had a total pe not eventually return come back (on big tech/blue chips) where it was simply holding long not doing anything.  People go bearish cuz they kept taking loss due to impatience. be down hundreds one day up hundreds higher the next. no interest payments or thrown into a higher tax bracket selling frequently.
