  • 105064270 : #NVIDIA (#NVDA) Q2 earnings report is impressive, with revenue soaring 122% to $30.04 billion and EPS of $0.68, both surpassing analyst expectations ($28.73 billion & $0.64). The increase in gross margin to 75.7% from the same period last year is driven by a surge in revenue from the data center. Despite announcing a $50 billion share buyback plan, the stock fell about -7% after hours.

In Q2, all departments achieved year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter growth. The "Data Center" segment, which accounts for the largest proportion, increased by 154% to $26.27 billion, surpassing analyst expectations of $25.24 billion. Currently, the data center segment accounts for a historical high of 87% of revenue. The "Gaming" segment, the second-largest in proportion, increased by 16% to $2.88 billion, outperforming the market consensus of $2.7 billion, and has achieved annual growth for five consecutive quarters. The "Automotive" segment grew by 37%, slightly exceeding market expectations.

👉CEO Jensen Huang stated that the demand for the Hopper architecture chip remains strong, and the market's expectations for the Blackwell series chips are incredible. NVIDIA has already sent Blackwell chip samples to customers and plans to begin mass production in Q4 as scheduled, continuing until 2025. It is expected that Q4 will generate billions of dollars in Blackwell revenue. In addition, it is expected that Hopper shipments will further increase in the second half of 2024.

🎯 Looking ahead, NVIDIA estimates that Q3 revenue will increase by 79% to $32.5 billion, surpassing Wall Street's expectation of $31.75 billion. However, the year-on-year growth rate will fall to double digits after four consecutive quarters of over 100% growth. The gross margin is expected to decline further to 75%, roughly on par with the same period last year, while Wall Street generally predicts a gross margin of 75.4%.

  • 夜轻歌 105064270 : Even if you get a perfect score in exams, it's useless. When Wall Street wants you to fall, you will fall.

  • 104653059 : totally agree. it's like expecting me to get 101 out of 100 marks exam lol.
