127 is the next leg up
If
the retaliation from Israel does not spark a massive response from Iran and create a further cascading of events in the Middle East. as this will trigger a significant sell-off in the market yet again. incidentally we're weaker this morning because Israel fired into Syria last night and took out a massive munitions Depot that was Russian owned.
If
today's number and tomorrow's number are bad which is good for us as long investors.
we want to see weakening data weakening economic number which is bad if you were the person that's employed that's losing your job but it's great news for us because it will keep chairman Powell and his fed member Bank presidents all on the same page to have at least two rate cuts the balance of this year.
If
the Port strike which is plaguing the eastern and Gulf Coast ports of the United States comes to a resolution sooner than later.
if the strike persists longer than a week a week and a half two weeks it will create inflation in the United States and then the data that chairman Powell looks at will show a spike in inflation and this will curtail for their cuts this year it may eliminate one or both cuts that will send the market into a tailspin.

  • STD0313 : I thing the fed will be able to identify transitory inflation cause by the dock workers strike for what it is.  They will stay on schedule

  • 10baggerbamm OP STD0313 : the data as they receive it, I don't believe it's as broken down and defined by item. it may be but I don't think that's the case. we are able to identify when I say we in a media what goods will be affected if the strike goes beyond a week and they targeted bananas and fruits and wine and certain items that are coming on to the east coast ports and gulfports.
what's not affected is what's coming from Canada Mexico toilet paper that type of thing so all these people running and buying toilet paper thinking there's going to be a massive shortage like covid they're idiots.
I don't know how again the data that they receive is broken down one would think that it's highly analytical so they can see by category and discount the inflation created by the strike because they know it is a temporary issue and will be resolved at some point in the near future.

transitory is a useless , the word should be stricken from Webster's dictionary. Janet yellen made the word toxic because all transitory meant is we were transitioning to a much higher rate of inflation when she said those famous words.

  • STD0313 : As defined, transitory inflation is temporary, and prices should be reduce to previous levels after the event that caused the temporary inflation has been resolved.  So let us hope that is the case.
