  • corbotron OP : 10% ownership currently but if things go well I could see Nvidia taking things further with their ownership

  • 何時我的第一桶金 : Will piercemeal and offer takeover

  • 10baggerbamm corbotron OP : back in the latter half of the 1990s there was a company out of Massachusetts called cmgi. and it was an incubator for.com stocks. they use their appreciation of their stock to make investments and fund other companies. no cmgi is a tiny company it's not existing any longer relative to the ginormous size of Nvidia but the idea is the same that you make small bets in companies that may have profound differences long-term and if you align yourself early on with them and construct the purchase that gives you rights of accumulation in the future to maintain your equity stake it could turn into a very big thing and that's the whole premise of what cmgi was doing. with Nvidia the few million dollars that they a lot to different companies it's chump change it would be like you walking into a 7-Eleven and you see the tray need a penny take one got a penny leave one that's how trivial and insignificant these investments are from a capital expenditure standpoint on Nvidia side. flip the coin to the company that receives the money it's like you're being blessed by God himself.

  • 10baggerbamm : you go back and look over the trailing year since Nvidia has made announcements in companies that it's invested in aside from arm holdings which they try to acquire most of these tiny small caps had their Spike the enthusiasm the moonshot straight up if you will and then the stocks decline back down and the reason is it's simple at the end of the day it's about fundamentals it's about earnings growth it's about market share and when you're a small cap company it always takes longer to generate The elusive profit then you anticipate it always takes longer to generate a market to develop a product that's accepted it always takes longer to close sales so great job to the people that bought this last week because you've doubled your money I would tell you sell your original investment leave the profits in it and let the chips roll where they do in the future but I would not be a buyer on a double on news of Nvidia and making an investment that was known if you read their SEC filings months ago.

I'm a stay at home dad currently working on my mental health, been trading for a while, not always successfully
