There are three slopes in life. It's “uphill, downhill, and no way.”
The same goes for stock quotes. Right now, “downhill” and “no way” are coming at the same time. But these don't last all the time. I think there will only be one or two major crashes in a lifetime that surpass Black Monday. Humans can become stronger through difficult experiences.
Taking a break is also called the market price, so I think you should not be impatient and enter the race again based on your own view of the market price.
