The high-tech stocks are doing great today. Yesterday, my husband's taxable account didn't execute an order at the limit price, but it worked out well within the taxable deduction limit of 0.2 million per year. He had set a limit price for 130 shares of NVIDIA at 122.9, and it was executed at around 123 dollars right after the market opened. Now, let's put as much as we can into the RSP... Both my husband and I have maxed out our growth stock NISA allocation for this year... As for my taxable account, I still have a deduction limit of 0.38 million, so I'll wait a bit longer. If it reaches around $1,000 or close to $2,500, I'll sell it as well and put it into the RSP, I suppose.
For taxable accounts, I still have a few other stocks besides NVIDIA, but it's a small amount, so I'll gradually sell them from next year.
My husband's NVIDIA sale today and the current holdings in the account:

まるまるまる_6574 : I was surprised that the tax payment was 380,000 dollars
chicchi-ai OP まるまるまる_6574 : 380,000 dollars lol
No no, it's 380,000 yen tax exempt deduction
The 20% tax is painful, so I bought an additional one before the split, but I decided to let go of the taxable one for a while.
For now, let's put in reserve NISA, sort out the old NISA next year, and how far can I buy within the NISA framework, but... it still seems like it will take about 3 years to sort out the old NISA, so it's annoying
まるまるまる_6574 chicchi-ai OP : The tax in Japan is 20%, which can't be helped. My investment now is around 960,000 yen though.
chicchi-ai OP まるまるまる_6574 : Well since it went up, it's a profit tax, so there's no loss
My tax return is troublesome, and there is also a dependency relationship, so I have 400 NVIDIA shares on the NISA side, so I put the tax side in order, and since the operation of NISA is not bad, I put a lot of money there, and if I still have extra power, I'm thinking about supporting my daughter NISA
