$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ we've been here before December 4th December 5th and December 6th.
and that was 3 days above the 20-day moving average today is the first time since that we have noticeably traded above the 20 day.
the trend for the stock is still negative which sucks if you own it ..what it really comes down to is post earnings a lot of institutions sold it a lot of hedge funds shorted Nvdia, the stock right now is under weighted from an institutional standpoint.
so when we went through the rebalancing in mid June to mid July and you heard about it on TV constantly and you read about it that Nvidia became such a large percentage within the portfolio that institutions money managers had to sell it to rebalance risk not cuz they didn't like the company but because it became so large as a matter of percentage of stocks that they own they had to sell it.
we are now the complete opposite where this has been sold down it has been shorted and the institutions that own it now have a much smaller percent of this stock in their portfolio than other companies or they don't own it at all.
hopefully, as we approach the end of the year we're going to get repositioning on the buy side where institutions are coming in to gradually build a new position in Nvidia because it's under weighted or because they don't have one at this point.
at any rate we broke through the 20 day today one day does not a trend make or a pattern and this is a very short week but we will see if the reversal can happen and we can begin trading above 140 in the near future

  • modest Narwhal_1005 : do you look at peg ratio and historic p/e when you compare companys?

  • 10baggerbamm OP modest Narwhal_1005 : I look at everything and you balance it out I mean you have to understand that like if you're referring to Nvidia it's dirt cheap from a PEG ratio there's not a single mag 7 that remotely comes close unless you want to forecast autonomous driving in full force generating billions of dollars in revenue to Tesla and Optimus in full production. and that hasn't happened yet and it's completely unrealistic to even look at that right now you look at what they're booking and nvidia's dirt cheap you just have to deal with people that say their best days are behind it and they're slowing.

  • 10baggerbamm OP modest Narwhal_1005 : pt 2
Nvidia is slowing because they can't grow a 200%, they can't grow it 150 they grew at 90 next year's expected to be 70 which means they'll probably turn out 75 to 80 the argument that I use to every single person that says the best days of Nvidia behind it is Apple computer only had 4% revenue growth this year that's it and yet it said another all-time high.
so Blackwell's coming out either already is an advanced level Blackwell kind of like a souped-up version that will come out Midway through the year but before Ruben which will be late fall next year and at that point in time Jensen will come out and announce something that will be coming out in 26 late.
so if in 2026 because of competition and video only grows at 60% and then a 2027 50% and 2028 35%, so what look how many stocks grow at 30% best case scenario in this marketplace as a tech company and they said all-time highs.
so Nvidia is going to set many many more all-time highs in the years to come you just have to be able to suck it up and ignore these fucking idiots on TV because most of them are wrong and if you look at their track record Google it look up their names look at their track record they suck I mean plain and simple they're terrible they're lagging the S&P and yet they charge us enormous premium that our clients and they can't even equal what a basket does.
so you want to look at everything and balance it out and you want to accumulate when people don't like it so the next quarter knock wood Nvdia sets another all-time high what do you do you sell half your position because it's going to sell off after that all-time high and consolidate at lower levels again and then you get to buy it back 15 to 20% cheaper and wait for the next push.

  • modest Narwhal_1005 10baggerbamm OP : was looking into tsmu because they have 38% yoy and a p/e of 33.

  • 10baggerbamm OP modest Narwhal_1005 : the company is fine Taiwan Semi is fine the issue becomes what's going to happen with Trump, XI and Taiwan.
if we roll the clock back earlier this year Taiwan Semi came out on a Tuesday,. automaker by sales they exceeded earnings revenue and guided higher and the same exact day Trump came out and said if Taiwan wants protection from China they will pay us. the result was Taiwan semi started to slide and continued to slide along with multiple other chip companies that Taiwan semi builds everything their entire product line for..
TSM has a fad facility they're building in Arizona there's one other that they're constructing but it's very small compared to their main facility.

  • 10baggerbamm OP modest Narwhal_1005 : pt 2
president Trump is respected worldwide unlike the shit bag that's in office right now that bows down to other world leaders. and president Trump if you ever read the art of the deal you would know this if you have not you need to buy a copy and read it because it will help you understand everything that he says is strategic like a chess master.
so I think he's going to come out very stern against XI of China. flat out telling him you're not going to go near Taiwan you're not going to touch Taiwan you're going to stop your fucking war games around the island where you surround it on six sides it's done because if you continue this we're going to tariff the shit out of everything that you want to send to the United States by 200 and 300% and your country will die economically.

  • 10baggerbamm OP modest Narwhal_1005 : pt 3
Xi understands Trump will do this so there is a come to Jesus moment where there is a sit-down and they understand they being China that they just dominated the US dumped in the US market for 4 years and now they're going to have to tolerate the shit a president Trump because the ramifications are going to be very bad economically if they don't.
so what does that mean for TSM when he comes out swinging telling XI this is what you're going to do I think the market will sell off stocks and then comer heads prevail and then they're going to rally again.
so with the leveraged ETF you need to accumulate it on weakness because if you're buying it up two bucks in a day that next morning on a political event it can be down $3.
and if you get a gap up in a week of $4 $5 you have to take the profits in it sell leave your profits in the ETF take your principal out. you also need to use options and I don't know if this one I didn't look at it I do follow it but I didn't look to see if they have weekly options or monthly monthly screw things up royally. but you need to sell puts to accumulate the positions in the collect the premium on it when it's up ticking and when you think it's about peak you need to sell calls against the position that's long that you still own your core position because these stocks are not going to go straight up 45° come January 20th.

  • modest Narwhal_1005 : I did good on NVDL. Idk if I would mess up the expiration date so I would have to try to sell puts more carefully and get used to them slowly. Leveraged decay and all that doesn't even matter if you truly buy the dip. But I do know what you man about selling because it's been a long time NVDL was at 90 and I watched it lose la lot of strength.
