Nvidia Says Blackwell Could be Most Successful Product in Computer History
$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ CEO Jensen Huang said Wednesday the company's Blackwell platform "will likely be the most successful product in the industry and even in the entire computer history."
Blackwell, the successor to the company's Hopper architecture, is the most advanced graphic processing unit (GPU)- accelerated computing system ever built.
"We started a new industrial revolution to mass produce general intelligence," Huang said in the company's annual stockholders' meeting. He noted that Blackwell adoption by every major could service provider, server maker and leading artificial intelligence companies are already underway.
"Generative AI has supercharged innovation in healthcare," Huang said, adding that the company is at the forefront of that, citing how Genentech uses NVIDIA BioNeMo to customize NIMs integrated into its drug discovery workflows.
He also noted that Amgen is taking drug discovery to light speed by building AI models trained on one of the world's most extensive human datasets. Meanwhile, Johnson & Johnson is partnering with Nvidia to build its digital ecosystem for intelligent ecosystem for intelligent surgical and medical instruments.
