Oct Profit/ Loss sharing #4

What position should I take on this?  A company with good products but at the moment suffering from incompetent psychopathic CEO syndrom? Corporate drama making news, but not the good type.

  • CNNT OP : Update, just in.

  • Dan’l : Hi, CNNT, and I don’t mean to hurt your feelings, buUut… why in the world would Tavares’ paycheck trouble you? His compensation package represents less than 1/10,000ths of Stellantis’ 41.67B Market Cap, soOo… it’s peanuts.

I put a bit of money in $Stellantis NV (STLA.US)$ yesterday, despite there being better places, for valid reasons:

Earnings Per Share (EPS) last year was $6.43 and, despite it likely coming in at $3.06 during their October 31 earnings call, their expected EPS growth over the next 3-5 years is 12.69% and their forward PE is 4.35, making their PEG ratio 0.34 (making them a great value).

I’m not so sure “carbon net zero” or “dare forward” is the right thing to do, yet I appreciate their roles in both the capitalization of $Archer Aviation (ACHR.US)$ (which I’m over twenty times more heavily invested in) and the manufacturing of their Midnight eVTOL.

Oh! And, Stellantis owns Maserati, which everyone (except Ferrari) loves.

STLA may get even cheaper, and I could be entirely wrong; we’ll see.

  • CNNT OP Dan’l : Hahaha, no emotions involved in investment, so no worries at all, I appreciate the learning opportunity from others.

As for the picture, I wanted to find a meme online to share but couldn't,  so I just picked something catchy to post. I'm not upset by his pay, power to him for having the ability to negotiate that [undefined]

When I posted this, I was worried because there were other news source saying that a China company is interested in acquiring a few of their iconic brands. Then the news of the firing came. It calmed me a little. I feel slightly uncertain about the company's future, but I don't have a plan yet. I bought this stock because I wanted to collect dividend stocks.

  • CNNT OP I Am 102927471 : [undefined]

  • ZhukovHatesPepsi : end of the day, trust the fundamentals. other stocks are making more money now but its technical trading which is not my forte. when stocks are overvalued you sint know where the roof is. hut with fundamentals slyou can learn the true value

  • Dan’l CNNT OP : I don’t think Stellantis has fired him; all news I’ve seen has him retiring by 2026.

A reminder: even as today’s cost of your shares goes up/down, you’ve realized no loss/gain unless/until you sell.

    Just so happens…
    all “strong buys”according to Zack’s:

    $Banco BBVA (BBAR.US)$
    Dividend Yield: 11.58%
    5-YR Yield Growth Average: 0.57%

    $CTO Realty Growth (CTO.US)$
    Dividend Yield: 8.07%
    5-YR Yield Growth Average: 38.40%

    $Sinclair Broadcast Group (SBGI.US)$
    Dividend Yield: 5.66%
    5-YR Yield Growth Average: 6.87%

    Among my* favorites…

    $Cool Co (CLCO.US)$
    Dividend Yield: 14.21%

    …and Warren Buffett’s:

    $Sirius XM (SIRI.US)$
    Dividend Yield: 4.27%

(*not that anybody should be listening to me ~;-)

  • CNNT OP ZhukovHatesPepsi : Ya, I bought it at the wrong time. I had not learnt FA at that time.  Wrong entry price.

  • CNNT OP Dan’l : Thanks for list, saved me some homework time:). At a glance, all look pretty OK FA wise, except CTO, the net margin will send me running for the door.

  • Dan’l CNNT OP : $CTO Realty Growth (CTO.US)$ has a Net Margin of $14.52, which is highest amongst their peers, well over double their average (and above S&P’s, too).

You had me worried there… speaking of which: worth considering how the hurricanes and tornados might have affected any company you consider.
