owning a car is not worth the penny

As rightly pointed out by many, owning a car is akin to squandering money. if the amount spent for the COE, fuel, road tax, season parking, maintenance and car itself is invested, the return of investment may allow some to achieve F.I.R.E.

with the constant upgrading of our public transportation network, the case for car ownership is no longer appealing. The dream of this car ownership insanity is easily woken if one takes the time to talk about it with foreign friends - they simply cannot believed that a piece of paper is worth that pound of salt.

anyways, to each his own and it's best not to disturb the sweet dreams of others...
