$Palantir (PLTR.US)$many options due on 13/12 priced 74C -90C, will it get pump up soon ? whats the effect of option expiry on the counter , so far i see the stock price will up alot if it high price call , is the fluctuation due to it or just coincidence ?

This is the 3rd cycle I’m observing . 1st 2 cycles whenever it’s near due date , sudden surge to around the Call option value , not sure if just coincidence coz I don’t know how to play option . Only know C for call n P for put

usually if there's a lot of calls strike price near the money , the market players usually buy cos if options cross into the money and are exercised , they still want to make a profit or breakeven , so when price increase , retail investors tend to buy as well causing a snowball effect. i think what you're referring to is called a gamma squeeze . u can search it up
