Paper trade is not for learning to trade as it is paper money and does not involve any real money. 1Hence, there is no emotions or real skills.
Paper trade is strictly for practice to know and understand the MooMoo platform better.... my 2 cents worth

  • Whispr : I use it to test new strategies personally.

  • 104823856 : yeah

  • Trading Strategies : Your 2 cents are valuable!I agree that paper trading is a fantastic way to get familiar with the Moomoo platform and practice without financial risk. However, I also believe it offers more than just platform learning. While it doesn't fully replicate the emotional aspects of trading with real money, it allows traders to test strategies and refine decision-making skills in a risk-free environment. Many successful traders use paper trading to backtest their strategies and gain confidence before transitioning to real trading. It's a safe space to make mistakes and learn from them, which is crucial in developing as a trader.Ultimately, combining paper trading with real trading (even in small amounts) can provide a balanced approach to learning both the technical and emotional sides of trading.

  • Johnny B Goode OP : I cannot argue against that but I learn from trade experts not  use paper trade but to swim with real sharks, learn lessons from them.
So, I always remember my mistakes, trade strategies and hone skills from there...to lose small, win big.
Or maybe, you shaolin, I wutang ... 😅
    Thanks anyway..

  • Turtle 400 : Agree. I can see how paper trading can help to learn how to perform a buy or sell.
I can see how the day-traders may see it useful, but other then that, I think paper trading is useless for a buy and hold investor.

  • 2120Dude : vortex is a awesome tool /site, whish I found this earlier,  I'm currently a disciplined paper trader, currently simulating a $ 500 account.......
I've  had $400k days just to know I'm gaining the aptitude and so called apprentice skills. now all I need is a $2m account to complete my apprenticeship.

  • ASSAYER : 🥷 Wing Chun. For me it’s about Timing. The 1M Paper account is my training field. Mission turn 1M into 2M in one ☝️ yr. Without resetting. Once successful you will have the skills to battle the market and your Emotions.
I still ( like Basketball 🏀) practice practice and practice, then I go play Against any person on the Courts. Paper trading and the Market equates to practice and play. I’ve managed to outwit (outplay) the market converting 2K into 27k in 3mo in my live account. I will paper trade as long as I “live Trade” and I will keep winning more than I will ever lose. Balance, Energy, Space and Timing, from the Court to the Market.
    #Started will a little now I’m Here.🙏

Have attended Professional Traders & many other courses like Options, warrants trading but still a novice & learning.
