Peloton Shares Climb 15% After Partnering With TikTok for Fitness Hub
$Peloton Interactive (PTON.US)$ shares advanced 15% after the company said it's in exclusive partnership with TikTok for a new fitness hub on the short-form mobile video sharing app.
Peloton hopes to tap into TikTok's 1 billion active users globally through the fitness hub that will be called #TikTokFitness. That marks the first time the US company will produce social content outside its own channels.
The content will include live Peloton classes with or without equipment required, original instructor series, ongoing creator partnerships, Peloton class clips, and celebrity collaborations, all accessible via the #TikTokFitness hashtag, curated on the Peloton hub, the US-based company said in a press release.
The fitness hub will be available in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, Peloton said.
The stock last traded at $6.205, wiping out this week's loss to take the stock up 2% in the year's first three trading days.
