Picking stocks is always a question of what are you looking for? For me it's fun to look at the local market and find some hidden gems.
Here's some I like though:
● The banks: They've both grown considerably over time and offered increasing and nice dividends.
● Credit Bureau Asia (TCU) - won't be a huge growth stock but looks to have a moat in the credit ratings they offer. A bit pricey at the moment though the dividend yield is acceptable and will likely grow over the years.
● UMS Holdings (558) - does manufacturing for the semiconductor industry. It's a little cyclical though it's shown growth over time and offers a dividend. Reasonably priced at the moment yhough they might have a tough next year or two.
● Food Empire (F03) - just had a record year although it was driven by their Russian business which is unusual. South Asia growth could be the driver. If consumer staples are good enough for Buffett then can be good enough for me.
