You should buy bonds recently! I hear that US bonds will rise from now on.
I understood the mechanism very well, but when it comes to government bonds, the money that comes back is determined originally, but profits don't change when they go up, right?

tanhon : As you know, profit will not change if you hold it until maturity.
On the other hand, if you intend to trade without holding it until maturity, it's just fine if you buy it cheaply and sell at a high price, just like stocks.

Thank you very much for your kind explanation!
Selling bonds is scary because I feel that there is a risk of securities company spreads or the like...
tanhon : Unlike raw bonds, there is a risk of principal split, but there is also an option to take profits with bond ETFs.
In the case of ETFs, I think it's easier to clear liquidity issues, so I wonder if it's worth including them as an option.
ใใใใใ OP tanhon : Well, after all, if you want to invest in bonds, ETFs are easy and seem good!
Thank you so much!
