Poll: The National Coalition is not likely to win a majority in France

A new opinion poll by IFOP on Thursday revealed that the far-right National Coalition is unlikely to win a majority in the second round of the French parliamentary election.
The IFOP expects the National Union to win 210 to 240 seats in the National Assembly, which falls short of the 289 seats required for an absolute majority. Meanwhile, the left-wing New Popular Front is expected to win 170 to 200 seats, and the French President Emmanuel Macron's ensemble coalition is expected to win 95 to 125 seats.
In another opinion poll announced before dawn on this day, half of the respondents answered that they wanted the far-right national assembly (RN) to win an absolute majority. According to actual predictions, 47% of respondents believe the National Assembly will win an absolute majority after Sunday's vote. In the first round of voting, Le Pen's party and its allies took the lead with 33% of the vote, followed by the New People's Front with 28% and the ensemble with 21%.
