Post #1 - portfolio overview, 2 months in, how am I doing?

Opened account in May. Procrastinated. Finally started building my portfolio in June and settled that in July with 40% MY stocks and 60% US stocks. 

Made some rookie mistakes in June that caused me to be in red and still suffering a bit in June with minimal gains even though technically turned green.

The road ahead is a bit daunting as this is my maiden venture into the stock market but I'm glad for the prospects to learn something in-depth to add to my life.
