Post #1 - MY P/L Challenge
I'm really curious as to is this unusual among all you traders/ investors out there? My MY stocks are the real downer in my portfolio with such a large magnitude. Not sure if it is because of the stocks I picked or the relative market performance.
2 months plus into playing in both the MY and US market, my impression is that the MY market lacks sufficient energy and interest to create an active market. But this could be a really good thing for people participating in it at the moment because the price are not too inflated and there is less volatility. However, in long run, have low population participation in the corporate development can't be good for nation-building as it creates a huge gap between economy classes (I'm not sure how many % of Malaysians are involved in the stock market, I read somewhere it's 40% in the US and even that is actually quite low).
I hope more Malaysians get involved.

GoldFinger金手指 CNNT OP : personally I will not buy nestle, CDB, Hapseng, Genm and magnum. They are not in the right business. Their business is not improving.

104077152 CNNT OP : i would rather pick for bank for more safety div return, nestle got to take some time to gains back the previous sales and sh price, with the current gov intention to cut down those subsidy, another wave of inflation is coming soon (hopefully not). good luck to you if you can hold for nestle till the sh price gains back. just my personal points of view.

104077152 CNNT OP : to be honours to you, I am watching the nestle from sh price 70+ (as my friend share it at media, while i dont even hv the $ to buy it) till shooting up to 140+ and drop back to today 100+. to be fair this is consumable product and it earn daily, if not bcoz of the boikot, then everything does look good, and it could be a good opportunity to keep now, if u hv the surplus money, and wiling to take the bet. who know what will happen.in share mrk

CNNT OP 104077152 : Unless one day I need the cash, I will hold for now, knowing this this storm might just blow over. Can't just rely on stock market for wealth, for me have to diversify into many income sources.
