Post market Orderbook

$DBS (D05.SG)$ hi all, any idea why is this happening? post market orderbook trades 700k ++ shares on bid side and 600k ++ shares on ask side.
why only during the first 5-10 mins of market close?
i would like to take this opportunity to learn what is going on hee thanks guys in advance.!

  • _MK_Watcher_ : This is post market (17:00:01-17:04:59) trading mechanism, it works through some complex algorithms to close off any last-minute trades quened during normal trading hours, it will try to match (at the best interest in mind) whatever the ask and bid parties agreed upon.

  • kenzsim : there are pre and post market trading by the MM or funds
    algorithm aside sometimes ETF need to buy up or down to balance fund, margin, contra, force sell , in other markets probably you need to add in call or put option/warrant expiration
    when you trade long enough (lose enough money during trading) u noticed that a stock may intentionally pressed down to trigger margin than next day it will up 1 % to create a false impression stock rally a lot (in actual fact after u offset the previous day gap down it probably rally much less than intended)

    vice versa lor but anyway don't read too much into dbs , their share buy back defy TA... :)

    ocbc and uob is more predictable for TA
