Trump's incoming presidential advisory team is currently discussing cryptocurrency policies.

Media reports that the advisory team for Donald Trump's next president is discussing with the digital asset industry whether to establish a new post with a focus on virtual currency policy at the White House.

As reported by Bloomberg News, sources familiar with the transition of power stated that the team is scrutinizing candidates for such a position.

It is still unclear whether this position will become a senior White House staff or a 'cryptocurrency emperor.' 'Cryptocurrency Emperor' is a Washington DC term referring to officials overseeing policies and regulations of the entire federal government.

Bloomberg reported that Brian Brooks, a former executive of Coinbase Global (COIN) and Binance US, who is also a candidate for SEC chairman, met with Mr. Trump on Tuesday, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Trump also met with Coinbase's CEO Brian Armstrong this week, according to Bloomberg.

During his election campaign, Mr. Trump emphasized the acceptance of cryptocurrencies and pledged to make the USA 'the virtual currency capital of the world and the Bitcoin superpower of the universe.'
