Prime Minister Netanyahu's stance on the Philadelphia Corridor shows no desire for a cease-fire: Hamas

Hamas executive Osama Badran has stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request to keep the Israeli army in the Philadelphia Corridor (a long stretch of land along the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt) shows that there is no intention to reach a final cease-fire agreement.
In response to AFP, Badran once again stated that Hamas “will not accept anything other than the withdrawal of occupation forces, including Philadelphia.”
He stated that this is in line with the original cease-fire plan supported by the United States and the United Nations presented by US President Joe Biden in May.
Currently, Israeli negotiators are trying to finalize the details of the agreement together with intermediaries in Cairo, and it is said that the United States and Israel have agreed on a “bridge plan.”
However, Hamas did not accept this “bridging proposal” as violating previously agreed terms, and is not participating in this discussion.
