Put warrants to hedge negative sentiment on the back of Nvidia's disappointing forward forecast

📉Asian indices and the Nasdaq futures index are trading in the red this morning as of 920AM, after Nvidia slumped more than 8% in post-market trading overnight after its forward revenue guidance for the next quarter of USD 32.5 billion failed to hit the most bullish of expectations of around USD 33 to 34 billion. Fears of manufacturing delays on Nvidia's next big cash cow - the new Blackwell processor lineup, also added to the pessimism.

📣Nvidia's reported second quarter revenue of USD 30 billion last night narrowly beat the USD 29 billion expectations, but it was a slimmer revenue beat compared to recent blowout quarters.

☹️The disappointment with Nvidia has dampened the outlook for tech stocks worldwide. The Hong Kong Hang Seng Tech Index for example, is trading down 1.9% as of 940AM.

📝Meanwhile, Bloomberg also reported that UBS downgraded its forecast for China's growth for this year and the next, citing a deeper-than-expected property market slump.

📈Investors keen to hedge against the short-term pessimism in markets may wish to consider using put warrants. Put warrants move in opposite directions from the underlying share/index, rising in price when the underlying share/index is down. As an example, Nasdaq trending put warrant $NASDAQ 18500MBePW241220 (UUZW.SG)$ (https://warrants.com.sg/tools/livematrix/UUZW) is up 16.6% to SGD 0.112 on the back of Nasdaq's -2.2% drop from yesterday.

📈Trending HSTECH put warrant $HSTECH 3000MBePW241230 (9GDW.SG)$ (https://warrants.com.sg/tools/livematrix/9GDW) is up 12.5% to SGD 0.054 with the HSTECH futures falling 1.9%

Both put warrants have gained 6.5 times to 7.5 times more than the respective indices' fall, providing leveraged exposure on the downside to investors.

💻If you are keen to buy a put warrant, simply type in the 4-digit warrant code onto your broker platform and buy/sell away!

*The below trending put warrants highlighted are those with the tightest spreads and highest liquidity for the underlying.
