BelleWeather : It isn’t exactly the ground floor. Many companies large and small have been working on aspects using different approaches for a very long time. It’s exciting technology and things can move fast, but scalability is a ways off. Maybe read about IBM, Honeywell and the recent runners to understand where the field is?
NDMQ OP BelleWeather : I’m a 3rd year student going into my 4th year reading a masters of theoretical physics at the university of Edinburgh, and If I’m being honest I can’t quite grasp the scale yet.
NDMQ OP BelleWeather : My next step is to complete a bachelors in mechanical and manufacturing engineering and from what it looks like, quantum computing is still in it’s infancy at all major universities.
KingNY-Life : This company is already a company with real quantum computing technology products, and the stock price will continue to rise.
BelleWeather NDMQ OP : Yes.
BelleWeather NDMQ OP : I mean scaling in both a practical and business sense. Combined with the issues of stability.
BelleWeather KingNY-Life : Several of the recent runners have real products and services. Though I personally don’t see their current valuations as sustainable for the near future. I continue to hold a base in shares bought very cheaply, but wrote naked calls on one of them recently!
NDMQ OP BelleWeather : The products they have on the website have been around for a while now i think, recent price increases was purely news related but now it seems more technical.
NDMQ OP KingNY-Life : I dont doubt that quantum is the future, thats why i study it at a high level. However, valuation right now looks too futuristic.
BelleWeather NDMQ OP : I think more sentiment and misunderstanding based than technical. But there have been notable advances this past year. Just not to the point of achieving much just yet!
