Question

still somewhat new to this, but if my first day trade was on Monday and my third one was today. If I buy something today, can I sell again on Monday or am I still going to be in danger of PDT? $SPDR S&P 500 ETF(SPY.US)$

  • 上班对冲风险投资 : check this: Day Trade Rules-moomoo Help Center

  • AkLi : Look at your account under Day Trades Left. If the number which represents today is 0, then you are at risk of PDT if:

    1. You bought an option today and sell the option today.
    2. If you bought a 0DTE option today and it looks like it will expire in the money, then MooMoo will force sell your position to avoid assignment risk (assuming your account doesn't have the amount to cover the assignment because if you did you wouldnt be worrying about PDT).

If the number is 0 and you bought a 1DTE Option and sell tomorrow you are fine.

If you bought a put today and you let it expire normally you are fine.

If the number of day trades left is 1 and you chose to sell an option you bought today you are fine.

    Welcome to the markets!

  • Expendabiggles : Go to Accounts, More, Account Details. Shows how many sell trades you left have per day before you pick up PTD violation. And does change other days qty if you use one.
