RECESSION

Here is my opinion based on what I've seen since entering the market in 1988. There is the possibility of a recession. Hear me out, or at least read it before jumping ship, you don't have to agree with me.

The Federal Reserve's forecasting record when it comes to a recession, well, let me put it this way. The Fed has "never called a recession, particularly not the ones following the great bubbles they prided themselves in. They take credit for the beneficial effect of higher asset prices on the economy. They have never claimed credit for the deflationary effect of asset prices dropping, like they always do.

though it's been slow-moving towards the recession realm, it still has a good possibility of happening, despite the recent resilience of this current economy.

I expect the deflationary effects of the central bank's aggressive tightening will force the economy into a possible recession later this year, or maybe the beginning of 2024, and it will run perhaps into the 4th quarter or longer, with a decline in stock prices. Because of so many new traders through platforms like this, when they see prices drop, they get worried about losing the money they have, and that can cause more than normal activities.

This year has been strong on the backs of the technology sector and the AI hype. But this administration, the constant rule changes about product sales internationally or just bad news days or anything else for that matter. People without a decent amount of time in the market get spooked easily, especially new traders that fear losing the money they have invested. I understand the thinking behind the fear, but that kind of thinking is also a large part of the problem, and it's especially amplified if they are invested in a shaky stock, because hoping that it's going to climb and make them rich.

That is why I post explanations of how to and what to look for in the researching of a stock. That way you make sound investments.

I hope we can pass over the recession realm, but there are too many forces pushing towards it.
