relax all the masters investers
relax uncles.
I have been averaging down from 0.95 to 0.87 to 0.865 to 0.825 to 0.805 (presently holding to 43k shares in moo moo and 10000 shares in saxo) can refer to my post in this counter.
Pointers I self learnt. of course U guys are the experts. I am just a small fry trying to make some small money and not lose money along the way.
1. I will do 5 avg down. if the price still goes down I will hold on already to prevent catching the falling knife. of course if my money is infinite I will just go on. but poor people like me can't go on forever.
2. once the stock turns bullish I will look into buying it to lower my avg cost further to quickly exit with a small gain along the way, and thus asking for views or thinking out loud should I enter again. if you view it as negative then I can't please everybody. well long term investors may hate my view but I am holding to about 50k sg worth of stock ranging from 20% keppel DC reits (bought in at 2.70) to ireits global at 55% lose now. so is an expensive lesson learnt cause when I started out years ago, I was taught buy and hold forever and then just enjoy the dividends.
Just quoting ireits global. it will take me 20years to break even with dividends. is it really good idea. not sure. but my strategy is don't sell don't lose yet.
3. The latest reits I am trying to bill myself out is Fraser's Centrepoint , I bought in pre covid at 2.43. this is the next reits I am trying to bill myself out. avg in at 2.37 , 2.36, 2.36 and thus brings down my price to 2.39 break even. of course to emphasis again. I wana make abit before exiting.

Some may comment I shouldn't use reits as this kind of enter low and exit high strategy. but as a kiasu person. if I enter and the price keeps dropping. at least I got dividends as small plaster.
We all have a different journey to our investing and I can't comment on your strategy against mine as in which is better (remember mine is about billing out from my loss and making some bits in the process)
So I can't embrace the idea of buying it and keep praying for it to drop.
Is just my less than 2 cents thoughts. not meant to offend anyone here . and I named you as uncle if you read till here cause I refused to acknowledge I am old .💋 and 🤗

LoopholesSG : No one is a master, we are never really right even if the stock price moves in our desired direction. All I am saying is that we are all in a way “influential”, maybe not on MooMoo, but to the people around us. So sometimes if you say something that is negative when it’s red or positive when it’s green, it might mislead some less experienced traders. It’s our choice I know but let’s try to create an environment that nurtures the right investment culture and values haha.
