Researchers at NTT Laboratories PHI Laboratories succeed in quantum control of excitons in two-dimensional semiconductors

2024 March 26, Inc. $Nippon Telegraph & Telephone (9432.JP)$ The research institute (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announced that scientists at the Physical Informatics (PHI) Research Institute have succeeded in quantum control of exciton wave functions in two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors.
The research team led by researcher Thibault Chervy (Thibault Chervy) of the PHI Research Institute and Professor Puneet Murthy (Puneet Murthy) of the Zurich University of Technology (ETH) is a paper published in the academic journal “Science Advances,”Capturing excitons in various shapes, including quantum dots, and controlling them to achieve independent energy variability on a scalable arrayI reported that it was a success.
