RIP Google

It's been wild. When I graduated high school I felt it, a desire or wish that I could somehow invest in Google. Had I done so, I likely wouldn't be here now.
The feeling strikes again, this time with AI apps. Searching online for information has gotten worse, not better, over the years. Inundated by ads and paid promotions, relevant search results often get buried and mixed amongst the refuse. What once was an easy task is now very tedious, ESPECIALLY if you are looking for CREDIBLE sources of information. A great example is weight loss and nutrition. Finding credible sources on the efficacy of diets or medications is almost impossible within a few minutes. It might take hours before you get a solid answer.
With AI search apps, it's just not an issue. I ask anything, and it not only finds what I need but summarizes it and presents it in a fast, efficient way within seconds. I don't even have to know exactly what it is that I'm looking for, the AI can deduce what I mean to an extent and still find what I'm looking for.
Anytime I need a quick answer, I pop open Perplexity AI, and in moments, I have the answer.
It's not perfect yet, but with time, it will be.
What this means, ultimately, is Google is obsolete now. I don't even remember the last time I needed it.
