Round 3: P/L Challenge

In a wink of an eye, it is September already! This shows how time really flies and it’s time to share my Cashplus journey! Let’s go!

Happy to share my returns from $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund (SG9999005961.MF)$ and $CSOP USD Money Market Fund (SGXZ96797238.MF)$

To date, I have earned about S$5600 and US$100 just by doing nothing. Yes, you heard it right! By depositing and subscribing to the above cashplus funds, I can earn some passive income. Woot woot!

However, please be aware that this is not achieved in one day. This comes from long term effort of accumulation since 2022 when I first started this MMF journey. Moreover, the yield from cashplus had fallen from 3.8% to 4% from last year to the current 3.3% to 3.6%. Gone are the days where I can receive more than S$1 for every 10k subscribed.

Current returns from Fullerton Cashplus

As you can see, the returns have dropped significantly and will continue to do so as rates are scheduled to be cut by the Feds. The best way to maximise and milk from Cashplus is to participate in Moomoo’s events to earn yield coupons or cash coupons. Do ensure that the coupons can be used for MMF before applying to the cashplus funds.

Some users may not feel impressed by the yield especially those who day trade. However, do not underestimate the power of compounding! $Fullerton SGD Cash Fund (SG9999005961.MF)$ is very suitable for me as a conservative user as it compounds the returns daily and coupled with fund coupons, the amount gained can be massive! 🤩 Isn’t it exciting to watch your idle funds grow every day?

Moving forward, I ensure that I have sufficient cash on hand that is liquid enough to plan my next steps. Majority will still be in Cashplus due to its flexibility and ease of redemption and withdrawal. Some have been allocated to external high yield bank deposits, REITs and short term bonds while I monitor the stock market.
