Russian President Putin, in a televised speech to the nation on the 21st, warned that the Russia-Ukraine war is escalating into a global conflict and that Russia may retaliate. This warning came after the U.S. and Britain tolerated Russia's attacks using long-range missiles provided to Ukraine.
Putin retaliated against Ukraine for using long-range weapons provided by Western countries to attack Russia by attacking Ukraine's military facilities with new hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missiles. He warned civilians to prepare for further attacks using these new missiles, and also stated that there is a possibility of attacking the military facilities of the countries supplying weapons used in the attacks against Russia.
Putin pointed out that on the 19th, Ukraine attacked Russia with 6 U.S.-made long-range ground-to-ground missiles 'ATACMS', and on the 21st, they used British-made long-range missiles 'Storm Shadow' and U.S.-made high-mobility rocket artillery system 'HIMARS'. He stated, 'As I have repeatedly emphasized, at the point of these attacks, Ukraine's regional conflict caused by Western countries has taken on a global nature.'
