Adopting Ryohin Keikaku and NRI, and excluding Japan Paper and DIC - Nikkei Average Replacement.

On October 1, Japan Economic Newspaper announced that it will adopt Ryohin Keikaku and Nomura Research Institute (NRI) as constituents of the Nikkei Stock Average, and exclude Japan Paper and DIC.
In order to adjust the balance between sectors, Ryohin Keikaku and NRI were adopted. Japan Paper was excluded from the perspective of market liquidity, and DIC was excluded due to the adjustment of the balance between sectors. Market participants had expected that Ryohin Keikaku and NRI would be added to the index, while Japan Paper and DIC would be excluded.
