S&P 500 and Dow Jones surge to new highs; post best month of...

On Friday, the Dow Jones and S&P 500 surged to new highs following a shortened trading day on the back of the Thanksgiving holiday. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 rose by 0.6% and 0.9% respectively, boosted by gains in chipmaker stocks on positive news that the Biden administration was reconsidering restrictions on the sale of memory chips to China. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones gained over 180 points. The S&P 500 and Dow Jones posted their best month of the year so far in November, rising 5.7% and 7.5% respectively.
