S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 surge to new highs, Dow Jones pulls back on Monday

U.S. stock markets started off the week with a mixed finish, as the Dow Jones pulled back from its record high close on Friday. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 extended gains on Monday to close at another record high, lifted by major tech shares despite 8 out of its 11 sectors closing lower. Further, the Nasdaq-100 advanced over 1% to post a new record close, closing above its previous early November high.
