$S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ S&P500 took 70 years from 0 to 300...

S&P500 took 70 years from 0 to 3000, and took only 5 years from 3000 to 6000. I think it’s a huge bubble.
If it’s not a bubble, then means American economy is stronger then ever, so why FED lower the interest?

  • Troxell5 : They only lower the rates to make it cheaper for the govt to handle the massive interest they're paying on the debt. It's never about us

  • 152343525 : it's called the internet ( access for all), a focus on pension funds that never existed, women in the workforce, and most of all - compounding...
    Companies are run better also - more efficient and less capital intensive ie Microsoft vs Ford ( for example ). But even without any tech advances, simple compounding would have shown a similar disparity. Like they say- the first 100k is the hardest.
