S-Reits return 6.6% in 2023

- iEdge S-Reit Index rebounded close to 20% from end October lows, closing 2023 with 6.6% total returns.
- December 2023 marked its best-ever month with a 9% surge.
Sub-Industry Performance:
- Specialized S-Reits led with 19.4% total returns, followed by industrial and healthcare S-Reits at 11.3% and 7.1% respectively.
- Digital Core Reit emerged as the best-performing S-Reit with 23.3% total returns.
Digital Core Reit Buyback:
- Digital Core Reit (DCRU Management) repurchased 0.58% of its units.
- The previous year saw a buyback of 0.98% of issued units.
- Management believes buying assets at a discount to intrinsic value creates value for unitholders.
Fund Flows 2023:
- Institutional investors saw net outflows of S$976 million, while retail investors recorded net inflows of S$790 million.
- Retail investors continued their net buying trend, accumulating S$1.5 billion in net retail inflows in 2022.
