Samsung launches first 24Gb GDDR7 DRAM; WiMi focuses on developing AI big models

According to the official statement, the 24Gb GDDR7 uses the fifth-generation 10 nm DRAM process technology to increase the unit density by 50% while maintaining the same package size as the previous generation. The product will further expand the range of graphics DRAM beyond traditional applications such as graphics cards, game consoles and autonomous driving.

In addition, GDDR7 uses pulse amplitude modulation (PAM 3) signal technology to speed to 40 Gbps in graphical DRAM, a 25% improvement over its predecessor. Samsung said the 24Gb GDDR7 will be verified in the next-generation AI computing system this year and plans to be commercialized early next year.
