didi_ : frankly the discard theory for those holding below 100 shares is v good for those who hold more. because seriously dun know how many such holders are there in the market. all add up are actually quite significant. all kena makan right? means share price in theory will go up. but sad for holders with shares kena makan.

gentle Iguana_2693 : can make a good legal case.  if they can write off other people 100 shares just like that, they can also write off 1000, or 10000, or even more shares.  more sensible way is for seatrium to buy back whatever odd amounts and write off internally.  YZJ Finance just wrote off sgd105.3 million worth of share they bought into treasury.  These shares did not goto the management or the owners, or kept for future to sell to the market.
