Second week…. Turning around?
As this second week of paper trading comes to an end, I hadn’t had very high hopes of returning to profitability. Overall both my paper & real portfolios had a tough week. But suddenly today we are back to profits, which is a nice surprise. Maybe the recent surprise surge with $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ got the markets moving upwards again?
My goal for the week had been to day trade aggressively, but real life got in the way. I basically held my former positions. Im not a big fan of day trading in real life (for myself), mostly because of laziness, but also because I tend to pick stocks with favorable long term financials. Ive been using this paper competition to keep a closer eye on stocks in my watchlist. Was very happy with $Stride (LRN.US)$ this week, and will probably be adding some to my real portfolio. of course, I happened to get lucky on this one, and bought during a significant dip. No matter how much we study the market, we can’t discount the role that luck plays, especially in the short term!
