• The SGX Nikkei 225 September futures are up 2.4% to trade at 38,590 as at 9:33AM this morning, snapping a 3-day losing streak ahead of the Bank of Japan’s (BOJ) policy decision later this week. (CNBC, 29 July)
• Meanwhile, Macquarie’s focus call warrant over the Nikkei 225 Index (NIKKEI), NIKKEI-CD surged 21.4% alongside the gains in its underlying while the focus put warrant NIKKEI-HC fell 15.6%, moving in an opposite direction to the underlying.
• Investors keen on gaining leveraged exposure to the Japan market may consider Macquarie's call and put warrants over the NIKKEI. Market making hours for these warrants are from 9:00am to 12:29pm, then 2:55pm to 4:43pm.
