Senior Cleric: There is no doubt that Iran will retaliate harshly

Tehran Friday worship leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami stated in his Friday prayer sermon in Tehran on Friday that the month of Safar was the month when freed slaves from Karbala entered Syria, and stated the following:

“We owe our revolution to Imam Hussein (AS). Seyyed Al-Shohada (Lord of the Martyrs) commanded our sacred defense for 8 years. The country will be protected by the love of Hussein (AS), and he will protect us from enemies.”

Referring to Ismail Haniya's martyrdom, Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Khatami said that crimes and other crimes in Gaza were carried out by the Zionist regime.

Tehran's Friday worship leader said, “Tens of thousands of people have been martyred in Gaza, and America is complicit in all of these crimes. Those who purify America inside and outside Iran are complicit in all Israeli and American crimes,” he added.

Furthermore, he stated that Israel and the United States are accomplices in crimes including the martyrdom of the martyr Haniya, and that they consider it our duty to avenge the blood of the martyr Haniya.

The leader of the Friday prayer service in Tehran emphasized that “Iran should not hesitate to take severe revenge.”

Ayatollah Hatami further stated: “We are aware of this obligation, but what is important is that we have a well-organized system. It's up to us when, where, and how we attack. If we leave this anxiety and concern behind the Zionist administration, they will always be afraid, but there is no doubt that, at the right time and place, a brutal revenge will take place.”

Referring to the fact that Yahya Singwal was elected as the successor of the martyr Haniyah and the head of the Hamas political office, he stated:

This election was a huge humiliation for the Zionist government. Mr. Shinwal spent over 20 years in prison during his life. This choice of religious warriors shows that resistance will continue until the fall of the Israeli regime.
